How Facial Filler Works

With injections of a non-animal based gel called hyaluronic acid, Facial Fillers attract water to treated areas. This advanced treatment method allows us to re-contour your facial features and lift your skin to reduce the appearance of jowls around the mouth.

Note that we do not suggest Facial Filler treatments for those who are/have:

• Pregnant or breast-feeding,
• Any autoimmune diseases or disorders, and
• Sensitivity to hyaluronic acid or local anesthetic.

If you regularly take aspirin, anti-inflammatories or anticoagulants, it is crucial that you inform us during your consultation.

Recovery

A topical numbing cream is applied to your treatment area to reduce discomfort during the injection. After treatment, you may experience some swelling, bruising and a general feeling of tightness. You can alleviate the chances of bruising with homeopathic arnica before and after treatment. Blood thinning agents– such as aspirin, anti-inflammatories, and fish oils – are not advised.
